Palawan Bonsai Society opened their 4th show, this time at the SM City Puerto Princesa.
Philippine Bonsai Society Inc (PBSI), the mother club of Palawan Bonsai Society, has a memorandum of understanding with SM Supermalls. The show is made possible with SM providing the venue, show tables. Stage and chairs, sound system and and the full support of the Marketing Team.
The August 15-17 show features bonsai trees and suisekis, natural viewing stones.
Guests from Manila flew into Puerto Princesa for the event. Anthony Gedang, president of the Natural Stone Society of the Philippines and Boy Pangilinan, representing PBSI led the ribbon cutting.
Anthony Gedang also did a lecture on stone appreciation while club President Jun Frago, assisted by Club Secretary Joseph Estrada and Show Chair Arman Solo shared Bonsai Basics with visitors and mall goers who attended the lecture.
The pleasant surprise during the opening program was the cultural presentation by a local dance ensemble doing the sayaw sa bangko, tinikling, pandanggo sa ilaw, and a wedding celebration. The number prompted other members of PBSI to say the quality of opening shows is consistently going up.
Congratulations to Palawan Bonsai Society
